Repair and maintenance of your dental equipment
A treatment unit that will not move, a silent compressor, an autoclave showing an error: call your branch. A technician takes the call Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6 pm, makes a first diagnosis over the phone and schedules the visit with you.
An emergency? Call the branch that looks after your practice:

What happens when you call
A technician takes the call, not a switchboard. He asks you a few questions, guides you through the simple checks and fixes over the phone whatever can be fixed that way.
If a visit is needed, it is scheduled with you by the branch that looks after your practice, and it is a technician from that branch, who knows your installation, who comes out. Common wear parts are in stock in every branch.
We do not refer you back to the manufacturer: as an authorised distributor of the brands we install, we call on their technical support ourselves when it is useful, with the diagnostic tools that go with it.
For IT problems, the IT hotline takes over, on the same numbers.
While you wait for the technician
A few one-minute checks that sometimes avoid a visit and, if not, help the technician arrive with the right part.
Compressor
Check the compressor switch and the circuit breaker in the plant room. If it runs without building pressure or keeps tripping, switch it off and call: persisting wears out the motor.
Suction
Empty and rinse the suction filter, on the unit and on the motor, and check the separator tank. A clogged filter is the first cause of loss of power.
Autoclave
Note the error code displayed, check the demineralised water level and the cleanliness of the door seal. Never force a locked door: wait for it to cool down.
Chair and treatment unit
Check the unit's main switch and the air and water supplies in the plant room. If only one instrument is affected, try it on another tubing to locate the fault.
Radiology and sensors
Restart the workstation and plug the sensor into another USB port. A sensor recognised by the computer but not triggering is often a software issue: the IT hotline handles it.
In every case
Note the make, the model and the exact error message, and when the fault appeared. These three pieces of information often save a second visit.

Preventing the next breakdown
Most of the breakdowns we repair in an emergency were predictable: a tired autoclave seal, a compressor filter never changed, a suction line never descaled. The annual maintenance contract schedules these visits, replaces wear parts before they fail and gives you priority when a breakdown happens anyway.
It covers the treatment unit, sterilisation, the plant room and radiology, with a report after each visit to keep in the practice's maintenance file.
